본 교과목은 미술 분야 2급 문화예술교육사의 직무역량 필수 교과목으로 문화예술교육으로서 미술교육을 실행하는 데 있어 기본이 되는 프로그램 개발 원리를 이해하고 이에 기초하여 효율적이고 창의적인 프로그램을 개발하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 다양한 목적에 따른 미술교육프로그램의 특성, 교재 및 교수의 사용, 교육대상별 특징 등을 이해하고, 수업지도안의 작성 및 시연을 통해 미술교육프로그램 개발에 필요한 역량을 기르는 데 중점을 두었다.
